    Spats is a chill bar in Berkeley to hang out. I recently visited for an event on a Tuesday afternoon at 4:30, and it was mostly empty, providing a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The bar has two sides with plenty of bar and table seating, making it easy to find a spot to sit and enjoy the ambiance. I ordered a mocktail for $5.50, and it was fruity but not too sweet as requested. We ended up staying here for 2 hours chatting, and the staff was very attentive throughout our visit. Overall, I had a great experience at Spats and would definitely recommend it for a laid-back and enjoyable time. It's two blocks from the Berkeley BART, so it's easy to get to. Otherwise you can find street parking nearby.

    A fun place to hang out. The service is excellent and the food is good. My review needs at least 85 characters and therefore I'm adding 85 characters and telling Yelp to go f*** itself.

    My favorite dive bar when I was in seminary. If you have never been to seminary, I recommend it as a life-changing experience. But it's awfully hard and after a long day of being on your best behavior, you really need somewhere to unwind. The food was good dive bar food.
